About Us
Ray opened this shop with one chair, a secondhand mirror, and a rule he has never broken: nobody leaves in a hurry.
That was twenty years ago. The shop has grown to three chairs since then, but the rule stayed. It is why a cut here takes as long as it takes, why we would rather turn someone away than rush them, and why booking matters more here than it does at the place with six chairs and a queue out the door.
We are not trying to be the biggest shop in town. We are trying to be the one where you sit down, say almost nothing, and walk out looking exactly how you wanted to look. That happens when the same person cuts your hair every month and remembers what you told them last time. It does not happen when you take whoever is free.
Book by name and you get that barber every time. They learn how your hair grows, where it fights back, and how you actually like it, which is usually different from what you said the first time.
Every service on our menu has a real duration behind it. We do not book two men into one slot and hope. If your cut needs forty minutes, forty minutes is what is on the calendar.
What is on the menu is what you pay. No card fee, no product pushed at the counter, no quiet upsell into something you did not ask for when you sat down.
Twenty years and the thing people still thank me for is not the cut. It is that I did not rush them.
Ray, ownerBooked comes first. Walk ins are welcome when there is a gap, but a booked chair is a promise and we keep it. Thirty seconds online saves you an hour on the bench.
Ten minutes of grace. Running late, call us and we will hold your chair for ten. Beyond that the whole day backs up on the men after you, so we have to start the next cut.
Say it in the chair. If something is not right, tell us before you get up. Most fixes take two minutes. Come back within a week and we sort it at no charge.
Kids get patience. Nobody here sighs at a child who will not sit still. If the last place put them off, book Devon and give it one more try.
Pick your barber, pick a time, and the chair is waiting when you walk in. Booking takes about thirty seconds.
